The Museum
-
Previously, the numerous Celtic remains from the Ardenne were scattered in various collections, private or public. Inaccessible for the public, most of them remained in crates, completely unattended.
The purpose of the Museum of the Celts is:
- to bring together the collections,
- to tend to their good preservation,
- to present them for the public.
It also sees to the enlargement of its collections and the integration of the new data provided, amongst others, by the research carried out by Centre for Archaeological Research in the Ardenne (CRAA).
The Museum of the Celts at Libramont allows the conservation of the archaeological finds within their original region. It is also the only museum in Belgium specifically dedicated to this period of our History.
